Market VectorsTM India Small Cap (MVSCIF)

The Market VectorsTM India Small Cap Index is a rules-based index intended to give investors a means of tracking the overall performance of small cap companies that are domiciled and primarily listed in India, or that generate at least 50% of their revenues in India.

MVSCIF targets a coverage of 100% of the free-float market capitalisation of the investable small-cap universe with at least 25 companies. Companies covering the top 90% of the full market capitalisation are excluded. Only companies ranking between 90% and 98% are considered Small-Caps and qualify for the selection. However existing Index companies ranking between 85% and 90% or 98% and 99% will also be considered Small-Caps and qualify for the selection.

To be eligible for inclusion in the index, constituent stocks must have a market capitalization of greater than US$150 million, a minimum 3-month average-daily-trading volume of at least US$1 million and a minimum 6-month monthly trading volume of 250,000 shares.

MVSCIF is a free-float market capitalisation weighted index. The weight of every individual component is limited to a maximum of 8 %.

The Market VectorTM India Small Cap index is reviewed quarterly and changes are implemented on the third Friday of every quarter-end month (i.e. March, June, September and December).
